In their debut album, roots rock band, The Big Deep, blends rock, folk, Americana and alt. country with carefully crafted lyrics touching on themes of love won and lost, family and society’s strife. Shimmery acoustics melt into gritty distortion. Sweet melodies twist into shout-along hand-clapping frenzied passages. It's sincere, singable, heartfelt, but above all, it's just a good damn time.

With vocal harmonies reminiscent of The Swell Season and instrumentation akin to Ryan Adams and Josh Ritter, concertgoers will feel at home amongst the band’s friends turned fans and fans turned friends.

Formed in 2010 and a product of the Omaha, Nebraska music scene which produced influences such as Bright Eyes and Brad Hoshaw and the Seven Deadlies, The Big Deep is made up of five accomplished musicians making their own mark. Recently nominated by the Omaha Entertainment and Art Awards as "Best New Artist" and selected to play at Omaha’s indie rock MAHA Music Festival 2011, the band is currently playing standing room only shows in Omaha’s finest venues and honing their live performance to hit the road.
